The Coffee Morning at GMRC meets every second Monday of the month, from 11 a.m. to 2.30 pm, we meet at GMRC for coffee, cake and refreshments, games, a chat and activities.
It is an informal group and you can choose to pop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole time. You can choose to join in or not. It is a friendly and caring place.
We do not talk about experiences but rather offer a distraction from them. Each year we also have one trip out (for example, we have been to York, Liverpool, and Southport) and a group meal in a local restaurant.
How do i join?
Contact Cherie on 0161 273 4591 You will be invited to to talk to her about the group, what you would like to get out of it, and your needs.
Cherie can show you the room they use so when you attend for the first time you know where to go and you know someone there already.
The aim of the Coffee Morning is to:
To reduce social isolation for women who find it difficult to leave their homes or to make friends
- To provide a safe and comfortable space to make friends and be distracted from past experiences
- To offer activities that help for grounding and which can be used/continued at home
- To build self-esteem and confidence
