Manchester Rape Crisis expects a certain level of commitment from volunteers. If you successfully complete the helpline training and go on to be a volunteer, we expect a commitment to our organisation of at least six months, which involves a minimum of six sessions on the helpline. You will also be expected to attend monthly volunteer support meetings which are held in the evenings.

When are you available to volunteer? Please note that the helpline is open Wednesday and Thursday, 6pm – 9pm. If you would like to volunteer on the helpline during office hours (10am – 4pm, Monday – Friday), it may be possible to arrange this.
